Fundació Salut Empordà integrates ReHub

We are proud to announce that The Salut Empordà Foundation has committed to innovation in their rehabilitation service and has integrated the ReHub platform in its hospitals with a rehabilitation unit. The telerehabilitation platform will improve the patient experience.

The leader and promoter of the project is Sergi Iglesias, current deputy to the management who performs the functions of head of the Technical Secretariat and digital transformation. Sergi will become the next managing director succeeding Martí Masferrer in 2023. Sergi Iglesias reinforces the union with ReHub, and the importance of implementing telerehabilitation, always willing to bet on hospital digitization.

Hospital de Figueras and Hospital Rosas are already using ReHub in their rehabilitation programs; the integration was required as a result of a raise in requests for rehabilitation sessions. The Empordà foundation has gone from 52,426 sessions in 2020, to 73,798 in 2021, showing the need to invest in solutions to serve more and more patients..

Dr. Natàlia Toneu i Domínguez, Head of the Rehabilitation Service, and Concepció Figueras i Llorens, gym coordinator, lead the implementation of ReHub in the foundation's hospitals with the aim of shortening waiting lists, complementing traditional physiotherapy with remote sessions and increasing adherence to treatment of their patients.

Sergi Iglesias participated last month in our webinar "Hospital Digitalization" together with Dra. Mar Gomis from Hospital de la Santa Creu y Sant Pau and Jordi Jorba from B.Braun. These three experts in digital health shared their experience and talked about the benefits and challenges as well as the internal processes of adopting technological solutions in the hospital sector and showed how ReHub benefits their hospital services.
