In Spain, it is estimated that four out of five people will need the care of a speech therapist in their lifetime. Therefore, we are delighted to announce that our telerehabilitation platform ReHub will be used in the biggest multi-center Speech Therapy study in Spain that will benefit millions of patients suffering from disorders that require the intervention of a speech therapist.

The study's main objective will be to analyze the effectiveness of telerehabilitation in dysphagia and Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (OMDs) through ReHub. Later on, it is planned to apply it to other areas of speech therapy such as aphonia and dysphonia. We count on the participation of rehabilitation services from renowned hospitals in Spain such as the Consorci Sanitari Integral, led by Dr. Jesús Tinoco, the Hospital Vall d'Hebron, led by Dr. Judith Sánchez, and theHospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau.

The methodology used in the therapy will consist of a combination of face-to-face rehabilitation sessions and telerehabilitation sessions. Thanks to ReHub, speech therapy rehabilitation professionals will be able to design programs based on more than 100 therapeutic exercises specifically designed for each of the pathologies in the study. In addition, the platform's artificial intelligence algorithms allow professionals to quickly and efficiently monitor their patients' activity remotely, communicate with them via chat and video calls, and modify the therapeutic program if necessary.

Finally, patients will be able to follow their rehabilitation program autonomously and in a fully personalized way from home. Thanks to ReHub’s technology, the patient can do exercises using the mirror modality, send videos to the therapist for evaluation, and complete clinical questionnaires to measure their progress, among others.
